Rett

Since I've joined I've lost 15 pounds and 5cms from around my waist so I'm feeling really good right now. I'm also starting to really enjoy my exercise which I'm really shocked about.

Hi, my name is Rett, I’m 28 years old and I am a retail manager in TK Max. So working in TK Max is, it can be very stressful, strenuous, a lot of running around, a lot of lifting, equipment, constantly on the go and they have stairs in there so I’m constantly up and down. Being a manager sometimes especially Christmas and especially when we came back from lockdown, we didn’t have time to stop, I don’t have time to even go for a wee let alone stop and have a break. So I think for me that was actually part of the problem for my weight loss journey, I was  skipping meals and because of this I would come home and just binge eat.

Also I obviously got a bit too comfortable with my boyfriend and we were both just as bad and we started having dessert every single night. It was full on dessert not just a bit of chocolate, I mean a sticky toffee pudding, cheesecake, anything with cream, we would be having it and in the end it was just becoming a complete massive problem.

So I tried doing some workouts in January, maybe one or two pounds would come off but my body wasn’t wasn’t changing and in the end I got so fed up as I just needed to do something.
So I joined FitQueen with Emily and her team, I’m very very grateful that she accepted me on the team, I didn’t really know what to expect, I was very very nervous so I messaged her and basically asked her what it was about. She then messaged me and we did a video chat, she told me all about FitQueen and how it works and since I’ve just never looked back.
Since I’ve joined I’ve lost 15 pounds and five centimeters around my waist so I’m feeling really good right now. I’m also starting to really enjoy my exercise which I’m really shocked about actually because I’ve never been one, like when I was younger I did my gymnastics and dance but as I’ve got older I’m I couldn’t think of anything worse. I was one of those people that would do a home workout or say I was doing a home workout and end up actually just watching like Charlotte Crossbe DVD, I’d put it on,  and end up just standing there watching rather than actually doing it.
So now that I’m actually starting to enjoy exercise I’m feeling so much better. The best thing I’ve ever done was join the team, my struggles have completely gone away and I’m not starving, like the meal plans they helped with, they’re just amazing, it’s all the food I like I’m having my lasagna, I’m having my jacket potatoes, smoothies and i’m still getting like my chocolate fix as well. So yeah I actually even, instead of just going for the chocolate the other day on Easter I decided to do a workout and I’m very proud of myself for that. Honestly its the best investment I’ve done in a long time I needed to do it and I feel so much better for doing it. Emily and her coaches, Jessie who is my personal one to one coach, has been absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t recommend them enough. I’m just really happy and I can’t wait for what the future brings in the next few weeks.
