Cara

After years of feeling alone managing her PCOS with minimal success with her weight loss goal, Cara has finally been able to see her body change.

Cara’s Struggles (In Her Words):

After being diagnosed with PCOS at a young age and being told it would be hard to have a family I have always struggled with my weight.

Unfortunately we did struggle to conceive which led to us having IVF with our first born which was a really challenging time especially as I felt PCOS was so misunderstood at that time.

Once I had my children, I decided I wanted to address my weight so I decided to start my fitness journey, I did notice a change in some of my weight loss but visually I wasn’t seeing my body change as I wanted. I also still had inconsistency with food and my cravings for sweet things was so uncontrollable. I also had such long cycles which I found so hard to manage.

What Cara has Achieved (In Her Words):

Prior to joining I was a bit worried because it was ‘unknown’ – its a massive new thing to get into and you sit and think ‘is it right for me’. You have this perception that you are going to join and everybody is going to be tiny but actually it has been nothing like that. Everybody supports each other, we are a community, we are a team.

I have done FitQueen for about 2 years with Emily and her fab team. My experience was great, I lost more weight then I thought I was going to but most of all I learnt so much about my own body, especially the female composition and how we tick, our health and what my body needs to fuel myself. I have learnt how to make lots of tasty recipes and what exercises support me for my own personal goals. Emily has given me the knowledge to manage my PCOS condition.

My coach has always been on hand to answer my questions, they have a wealth of experience between them and support you on your journey throughout. This has truly changed my life and I have learnt so much which I continue to take forward in my everyday life. It has become a way of life and one that I am a healthier, happier person.
